LCA Live is a multidisciplinary performing arts and lecture series housed in the College of Liberal and Creative Arts (LCA) at San Francisco State University (SF State) that supports the mission and values of the College and the University through the deliberate creation of a space for arts education and appreciation, intellectual stimulation, cultural exchange, student, faculty, and staff engagement and community outreach. Recognizing that the city of San Francisco and SF State are known worldwide as sites of innovation, creativity, diversity, and activism - LCA Live exists to showcase and advance the unique features that make us exceptional. LCA Live values and works to support: a student-centered education; the principles of access, diversity, and inclusion upon considering its performers and patrons; raising the visibility of emerging and under-resourced artists, makers, thinkers, and scholars; and engendering inclusive practices and spaces that nourish the creative spirit of all who engage with LCA Live.
